VP of Sales & Marketing

Title: Chief Revenue Officer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Responsible for strategizing, implementing, and overseeing all sales and marketing activities necessary to effectively promote and sell products and services to customers. The role involves setting sales targets and territories, determining product lines, managing pricing, leading sales teams, promoting staff development and training, and conducting market research. The Chief Revenue Officer will also collaborate with other departments and functions within the company to optimize performance and deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of employees, ensuring their staffing needs are met, providing training and coaching, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems effectively.
  • Achieve targeted profit margins in alignment with business goals. Drive sales growth while maintaining acceptable levels of gross margins. Increase the market share for the organization's products and services. Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and establish efficient processes to meet those needs.
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally, fostering an environment of openness, trust, and candor.
  • Present proposals to key customers and meet with suppliers as necessary. Provide professional assistance and support to the public, customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans, set direction, and evaluate company performance. Create comprehensive marketing plans, review and recommend policy and procedure changes, and actively participate in the strategic planning process.
  • Implement streamlined sales processes that integrate effectively with other departments, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings, committee meetings, trade association gatherings, food shows, and seminars.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
6 - 10 years of experience in sales or a related field within the foodservice industry, with supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business management, sales/marketing, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in sales within the foodservice industry, with supervisory/management experience.
