Supervise and manage ongoing projects within our Wastewater Treatment Construction Division located in Sandy, UT. These projects involve the construction of Wastewater Treatment Facilities and the development of large water tanks, with budgets ranging from 30 to 50 million dollars.
Responsibilities
As the Wastewater Projects Coordinator, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Supervising all stages of the construction project timeline.
• Playing a crucial role in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Managing financial aspects of contracts to safeguard the company's interests and maintain positive relationships with clients. You will be responsible for ensuring profitability on each project.
• Facilitating communication between contractors and sub-contractors.
• Conducting regular site visits to monitor construction progress and holding status meetings with sub-teams.
• Ensuring adherence to established construction schedules.
• Creating and submitting budget proposals, as well as recommending necessary budget revisions.
• Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, required documentation, and presentations.
• Collaborating with Superintendents to effectively manage project scope changes, identify potential crises, and implement contingency plans.
• Addressing RFIs and processing contract change orders.
• Approving invoices, managing payroll hours, and overseeing the billing process.
• Ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
• Establishing and nurturing key business relationships crucial to project success.
• Providing guidance and direction to project engineers, field engineers, and coordinators.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
o Hold a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
o Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and supervising less experienced project engineers.
o Have at least 5 years of experience in building large-scale Wastewater Treatment Facilities or Large Water Tanks.
o Demonstrate expertise in reading blueprints and specifications for significant commercial concrete structures.
o Display a track record of addressing inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
o Show proficiency in RFIs, change orders, and submittals processes.
