Water Resources Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic and collaborative team, specifically in the field of water resources.

In our Mid-Atlantic Region, we collaborate with private land developers, corporations, municipalities, and transportation DOTs/agencies to provide top-notch services. As a result, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects across multiple offices in our company. This role ensures that every employee's expertise and capabilities are utilized in meaningful projects.

In this position, you will provide valuable support to various projects by undertaking various tasks related to water resources. This may include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management and drainage design, erosion and sediment control design, flood studies, bridge hydraulics and scour analysis, and plan and report preparation.

Currently, we are looking for a skilled Water Resources/H&H Engineer who will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting H&H, ES&C, drainage, and SWM tasks for multiple clients in the Mid-Atlantic region, with a primary focus on Pennsylvania and the opportunity to contribute to projects in surrounding states.
  • Collaborating with internal staff and clients to develop and design projects.
  • Preparing project plans, technical reports, quantities, and specifications. If you aspire to task or project management, you will have the chance to manage tasks/projects scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Occasionally conducting field data collection and site visits.
  • Working on diversified projects and assignments with different clients.

Required Attributes:

  • Minimum Required Education: BSCE
  • Preferred Certifications: FE/EIT, PE
  • Work Experience: 5-12 years in water resources engineering.
  • Proficiency in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, stormwater collection systems, floodplain management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, erosion and sediment control design, drainage design, stormwater management design, plan review, and plan and report preparation.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software like PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and Watershed Modeling System.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, with strong preference for design experience including 3D modeling.
  • Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT and/or DCDOT is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for developing project reports, specifications, studies, and engineering documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Computer Skills Required:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, Watershed Modeling System, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range - $85k to $135k - salary is negotiable.
