Western US Regional Sales Manager – Food

Job Title: Regional Food Sales Manager (Western US)

Location: Sacramento, CA

Remote / Must Reside in CA, NV, AZ

We are a renowned manufacturer of frozen, premium, all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. Our products are sold through distributors to various establishments such as restaurants, resorts and hotels, bars, cruise lines, and specialty gourmet manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

As the Regional Food Sales Manager, your primary focus will be maintaining and developing relationships with over 30 food distributors across 19 states in the Western US, with a particular emphasis on the CA, NV, and AZ markets. Your key objectives will include expanding our market share, ensuring customer satisfaction, achieving sales targets, and driving profitability. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a Sales Representative.

You will be tasked with identifying revenue-generating opportunities within distributor accounts, monitoring industry trends, devising strategies to enhance service and sales, and capitalizing on emerging prospects using various resources such as sales reporting, online research, event leads, and more. Furthermore, you will be expected to effectively utilize CRM software to record all customer interactions.

You will collaborate with the Director of Sales to review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual sales figures for the region, as well as provide input for the territory's annual budget. Additionally, you will work together to develop a communication strategy that fulfills operational support requirements.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in food sales, with a proven track record of selling to foodservice distributors.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Excel on a daily basis.
  • Ability to prepare and execute 30/60/90-day plans.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, sales reporting, product training, and trade show planning.
  • Must be willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time. Airport accessibility is necessary.

  • Base Salary: $90-95K
