We are currently seeking experienced Senior and Associate Attorneys to join our team at a Workers’ Compensation defense law firm. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of workers' comp experience, either on the plaintiff or defense side. This is a remote position based in Redding, CA. Salaries will be determined based on experience.

Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required.

In this role, attorneys will be responsible for managing the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, including handling all aspects of discovery and litigation. They will work closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators throughout the process.

Key responsibilities:

• Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers
• Prepare and maintain correspondence with clients
• Draft legal documents and negotiate settlements for workers' compensation cases
• Appear in court, manage schedules, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical professionals
• Negotiate lien claims and provide proactive case management
• Mentor and supervise legal assistants to ensure effective case support
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
• Participate in marketing events with new and existing clients
• Review and work on case files, entering case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
• Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend client file reviews
• Deliver training seminars to clients on evolving workers' compensation case law
• Stay updated on current knowledge of workers' compensation case law
