Are you an experienced Occupational Injury Lawyer looking for a new opportunity?

Join our team at a highly regarded Workers’ Compensation law firm in San Jose, CA! We are currently seeking Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' comp. Whether you have worked on the plaintiff or defense side, we want to hear from you. This is a remote position with a competitive salary based on your experience.

Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required.

As an Occupational Injury Lawyer, you will be responsible for handling the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish. This includes managing all aspects of discovery and litigation, working closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Advocating on behalf of insurance carriers, 3rd party administrators, and self-insured employers
• Preparing and managing correspondence to clients
• Drafting pleadings and negotiating settlements on workers' compensation files
• Attending court appearances, managing calendar, and conducting depositions and cross-examinations of doctors
• Negotiating lien claims and performing proactive case management
• Mentoring and overseeing a legal assistant to ensure effective case support
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors
• Participating in marketing events with both new and existing clients
• Reviewing and working on files, inputting case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
• Meeting deadlines for client correspondence and attending client file reviews
• Conducting training seminars for clients on evolving workers' compensation case law
• Staying updated on current knowledge of workers' compensation case law
