Our client, a well-established law firm specializing in Workers’ Compensation defense, is currently seeking experienced Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' comp. This is a remote position based in San Diego, CA. Salary will be based on experience.

To qualify for this position, you must be a California resident and possess a valid CA Bar license.

As an Attorney, you will be responsible for managing the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, including handling all aspects of discovery and litigation. You will work closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators.

Primary responsibilities:

• Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers
• Prepare and handle client correspondence
• Draft legal pleadings and negotiate settlements in workers' compensation cases
• Appear in court, manage calendar, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical professionals
• Negotiate lien claims and proactively manage cases
• Mentor and supervise legal assistants to ensure efficient case support
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
• Participate in marketing events with current and prospective clients
• Review and work on files, entering case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
• Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend client file reviews
• Conduct training seminars for clients on changes in workers' compensation case law
• Stay updated on the latest developments in workers' compensation case law
