X-Ray Radiologic Technologist
X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST
Location: San Francisco, CA
Salary: $135,000-165,000 per year + Bonus + Full Benefits
Shift: Variable
$20,000 Sign On Bonus
As an X-Ray Technologist, you will perform radiologic procedures in assigned areas at a safe and technical level, while working under the direction of a technical supervisor. Our ideal candidate is an ARRT certified and California-licensed technologist who can conduct safe imaging procedures for all age-specific populations, including emergent, inpatient, and outpatient cases. You will be responsible for various radiographic exams, image processing, maintaining high-quality images on archival systems, and participating in performance improvement activities.
Additionally, you will demonstrate excellent customer service, ensure correct patient identification, follow infection control policies, adhere to radiation policies, and maintain good body mechanics. It is important to stay up-to-date with continuing education credits and comply with all Medical Center and Department policies and procedures.
New hires are expected to perform radiology procedures under supervision until they receive their license (CRT) from the State of California. You will also have the opportunity to observe procedures and assist during your orientation period, which should not exceed 6 months. Within the first 6 months of employment or probationary period, you must obtain a California fluoroscopy license. In addition, you may be required to take weekday, weekend, or holiday call, depending on the department needs.
Per diem employees must work at least an average of three shifts per month to maintain equipment and procedure competencies and per diem eligibility.
Requirements:
- ARRT Licensure or equivalent
- CRT Licensure
- Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school
- Flexibility in scheduling, including rotating shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays
- Willingness to assist at any of the Medical Center Locations
- Ability to perform job duties in a safe, reliable, responsible, and timely fashion
- Effective prioritization and task completion with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills
- Familiarity with related Radiology systems (list a few examples)

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position is a new graduate with 2 or more years of x-ray experience, particularly in a hospital setting (OR, ER) and outpatient/clinic environment. They should be willing to rotate to other locations when needed to cover shifts. Strong communication, interpersonal, flexible, and adaptable skills are highly desirable.
