Tax Manager
Location: Chandler, AZ
Compensation: Base salary $120,000–$150,000

Our client in Chandler, Arizona is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead complex engagements, deliver high-level tax planning, and mentor a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong public accounting professional who enjoys client-facing work, leadership, and making a meaningful impact.

Must-Haves (Required Qualifications)

• Active CPA license (required)

• 6+ years of recent public accounting experience

• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management role

• Strong technical expertise in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Tax is a plus)

• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements

Role Overview

The Tax Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while overseeing tax engagements from planning through completion. This role combines technical excellence, leadership, and strategic thinking, with direct responsibility for client service, staff development, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Review

• Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

• Research complex tax issues and clearly communicate findings to clients and firm leadership

Tax Planning & Advisory

• Provide proactive tax planning and consulting for high-net-worth individuals and businesses

• Identify opportunities to minimize tax exposure and support long-term financial goals

• Act as a strategic partner to clients on tax-related matters

Client & Engagement Leadership

• Lead client engagements and serve as the primary point of contact

• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

• Deliver high-quality service while managing deadlines and expectations

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff and senior associates

• Review work, provide feedback, and support professional growth

• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
