A well-established OB/GYN practice in Madison, Alabama is seeking a full-time OB/GYN Physician to join a team of seven physicians and five Advanced Practice Providers. The practice operates in partnership with a hospital offering a Level II NICU and nearby access to tertiary care facilities. Board Certified and Board Eligible candidates are welcome to apply, including residents completing training in 2026 or 2027.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with 4.5 clinical days per week. Weekend call is shared across the physician group on a 1:6 or better rotation. Dedicated operating room block time is available at the partner hospital. Specific shift hours and inpatient call obligations should be confirmed with the practice prior to accepting an offer.
Compensation
Base salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, with productivity bonuses available after an established ramp period. Partnership opportunity exists for physicians who meet performance and tenure criteria. Sign-on and relocation assistance are also offered. Specific compensation figures will be discussed during the interview process.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care to a patient population in the Madison and greater Huntsville area. Your clinical responsibilities will include prenatal and postpartum management, routine and complex gynecologic office visits, and both elective and urgent surgical procedures. The practice has access to advanced robotic surgical technology, and you will be expected to perform or develop proficiency in robotic-assisted minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
You will work alongside a team of seven physicians and five APPs in a collaborative group practice model, with structured mentorship available for early-career physicians who are building toward independent practice. The group's call structure and OR block time are designed to support a sustainable clinical workload over the long term.
The partner hospital's Level II NICU and proximity to tertiary care resources provide appropriate backup for complex obstetric cases, allowing you to manage a broad range of clinical presentations without routine transfer for most acuity levels.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid Alabama medical license, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date
- Eligibility to obtain or current holder of a DEA registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital and surgical privileges at the partner facility
- Ability to participate in a shared weekend call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency, including candidates graduating in 2026 or 2027
- Experience with or training in robotic-assisted surgery (da Vinci or equivalent platform)
- Interest in or experience with high-risk obstetric management
- Prior experience in a group or multispecialty women's health setting
- Current ACLS certification
