This position oversees warehouse operations for a stick electrode manufacturing facility, with full accountability for raw material flow, inventory accuracy, and compliant handling of powders and hazardous materials. The Warehouse Supervisor works directly with production to ensure uninterrupted supply to manufacturing lines while maintaining safety standards and operational controls across receiving, shipping, and storage functions. The role carries a defined path toward expanded procurement responsibility for candidates who demonstrate mastery of the warehouse function.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
Compensation
$55,000 to $63,000 per year, depending on experience.
What You'll Do
You will manage the accurate and timely flow of raw materials and consumables to stick electrode production lines, ensuring no supply interruptions occur due to warehouse delays or inventory discrepancies. Batch control and material traceability are central to this role, and you will maintain documentation standards that support quality and regulatory compliance for all powder and hazardous material handling.
You will oversee all inbound and outbound activity, including receiving, purchase order verification, and shipping coordination. Inventory accuracy is a primary accountability, and you will conduct cycle counts, investigate variances, and maintain clean records within the ERP or MRP system. You will also develop and monitor KPIs that reflect warehouse performance against production and safety targets.
Leading a warehouse team is a core part of this role. You will assign daily work, coach team members, enforce safety procedures, and ensure the team operates in alignment with established process controls. As you build proficiency in the warehouse function, you will have the opportunity to expand into procurement responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of warehousing experience, including inventory control and material handling
- Demonstrated supervisory or team lead experience
- Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems for inventory tracking and purchase order management
- Familiarity with hazardous material handling procedures and applicable safety regulations
- Ability to maintain accurate batch and lot traceability records
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly metal fabrication, welding consumables, or chemical processing
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with KPI reporting and process improvement initiatives
- Exposure to procurement or purchasing workflows
- Forklift certification
