Traveling Construction Superintendent

A commercial general contractor based in Atlanta, GA with over three decades of experience building commercial and industrial structures is expanding its project footprint across the Southeast. The company is hiring a Traveling Superintendent to oversee ground up commercial and industrial construction projects from start to closeout.

Schedule
Full time. This role requires extensive travel to active job sites throughout the Southeast for the duration of each project assignment.

Compensation
$100,000 to $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

What You'll Do
The Superintendent will oversee assigned projects from initial mobilization through final closeout, serving as the primary on site point of contact for the client and owner throughout construction. Typical project types include tilt wall and tilt up concrete construction, warehouse and distribution center builds, and big box or large format retail construction. The role involves managing the project schedule and budget, coordinating daily with office staff and trade partners to keep work on track, maintaining a safe job site at all times, and reporting progress regularly to company management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of construction site management experience
• Direct experience managing ground up commercial and industrial construction projects
• Experience with one or more of the following project types: tilt wall/tilt up concrete, warehouse or distribution center, or big box/large format retail construction
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeast for extended project assignments
• Working knowledge of project scheduling, budget management, and jobsite safety compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• OSHA 30 certification
• Experience acting as the primary client facing representative on commercial construction projects
