Compensation: $200,000 to $240,000 base salary, plus 50% annual target incentive

This luxury independent lifestyle hotel in Seattle is hiring a General Manager to lead overall property performance, oversee a destination Food & Beverage operation, and build the hotel’s presence within the local market. This role reports directly to ownership and carries full P&L accountability for a property in the 100 to 300 guestroom range.

Schedule

Full-time, exempt executive schedule. This role requires on-site leadership presence with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on hotel operating needs.

Compensation

Base salary of $200,000 to $240,000, with an annual target incentive of 50% of base salary.

What You’ll Do

The General Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for ownership, providing regular updates on financial and operational performance while building a relationship grounded in transparency and trust. This person will lead all aspects of hotel operations, with particular focus on the property’s restaurants and bars, which function as core revenue drivers rather than secondary amenities. The role includes direct responsibility for commercial strategy, revenue generation, and new business development, along with hands-on leadership of hotel associates across departments. Building the hotel’s standing in the Seattle market is a central part of the job, including representing the property within the local business and hospitality community and developing partnerships that support the hotel’s positioning and reputation.

Required Qualifications

  • General Manager experience at an independent or lifestyle luxury hotel
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with ownership, investors, or asset managers
  • Strong background in Food & Beverage operations, including restaurants and bars as revenue centers
  • Track record of improving a property’s market positioning and competitive performance
  • Experience with community engagement and external relationship building
  • Commercial leadership experience, including revenue generation and business development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a property in the 100 to 300 guestroom range
  • Full P&L accountability in a previous General Manager role
  • Strong sales and marketing background
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong executive presence
  • Active involvement in the local business or hospitality community
