This manufacturing organization in Omaha, NE is seeking a Warranty Quality Engineer to fill a dual-scope role spanning contract and risk review on the front end and warranty claims ownership on the back end. This position acts as a cross-functional leader, partnering with Project Management, Sales, Engineering, Testing, Field Service, and Quality to ensure lessons learned are embedded into new products, active projects, and standard product lines, reducing risk, cost, and customer impact.

Schedule
Full-time. Travel up to 40% required.

Compensation
$80,000 to $100,000 per year, plus bonus.

What You’ll Do

The Warranty Quality Engineer monitors the end-to-end warranty process, including claim validation, investigation, root cause analysis, and cost tracking, while analyzing warranty trends to identify systemic issues. This role drives containment and corrective actions and confirms the effectiveness of permanent corrective actions over time.

On the project side, this position leads contract and project risk reviews using warranty data, and leads cross-functional initiatives focused on warranty reduction and product improvement. The Warranty Quality Engineer also serves as the technical liaison between customers, field service, and internal teams, and develops dashboards to maintain visibility into warranty trends and project risk.

This role is central to connecting warranty data, design decisions, and execution, bringing field data into business decisions, and driving accountability for corrective action across functions to prevent repeat failures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3 to 7 years of related experience

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, weldments, and fabrication

  • Experience with failure analysis and root cause investigation

  • Proficiency in 8D, A3, CAPA, PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and Inspection Plans

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial equipment, heavy machinery, or capital equipment manufacturing

  • Experience presenting warranty and risk data to customers or leadership

  • Familiarity with dashboard or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

  • Prior experience in a dual quality/warranty or quality/project role

Compensation and Benefits
