This respected metal fabrication operation is adding an Industrial Millwright to work directly alongside an experienced tool room specialist. The tool room is clean, organized, and climate-controlled, and this role offers direct mentorship for someone looking to build a long-term career in manual machining and die repair.

What You’ll Do

Under direct mentorship, the Industrial Millwright learns and performs inspection, repair, and refurbishment of dies, punches, and production tooling, and fabricates replacement components and tooling solutions using manual machine tools. This role operates lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, drill presses, and related equipment, and reads and interprets engineering drawings and blueprints where available, applying hands-on judgment for legacy tooling that has no existing prints.

This position uses precision measurement instruments, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gauges, and supports tooling setup, alignment, and adjustments to maintain product quality and dimensions. The Industrial Millwright assists production teams during changeovers, setups, and startups as needed, maintains tooling inventory, keeps accurate records of repairs and modifications, and follows all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manual machining and tooling repair

• Ability to use precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gauges

• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training in machining or a related trade

• Hands-on experience with manual lathes and milling machines

• Blueprint reading skills
