A Cleveland, Ohio manufacturer with a 100 year operating history is hiring a Technical Sales Representative to grow its account base across aerospace, energy, and OEM manufacturing markets. This is a relationship driven, business development focused role working closely with the internal sales team and production.
Schedule
Full time, onsite in Cleveland, Ohio. Not a remote position.
Compensation
$65,000 to $90,000 per year, based on experience.
What You'll Do
This role develops customized proposals, quotes, and pricing to meet customer needs, while coordinating with the internal sales team and cross functional partners on strategic projects and reporting. The Technical Sales Representative works with production to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle and maintains accurate records in the company's CRM and ERP systems.
On the pipeline side, this person executes outreach strategies to identify and engage new business, speaks directly with decision makers about the company's products and capabilities, and builds a pipeline of qualified prospects in high potential markets and customer segments. The role also supports marketing initiatives that align with sales goals.
Customer relationship management is a core part of the job. This includes building long term relationships with new and existing clients, keeping organized records of customer interactions, and ensuring consistent, timely follow up.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Hands-on sales or account management experience with solid technical aptitude
- Ability to work onsite in Cleveland, Ohio
- Ability to take basic measurements (such as with a tape measure) and read blueprints
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to think ahead
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales prospecting, outbound sales, or technical account management
- Familiarity with metal products, manufacturing, or engineered solutions
- Proficiency with CRM or ERP platforms
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems
- Strong Microsoft Office and general technology skills
