A small, established Cleveland company is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day to day accounting operations. This role works closely with the Controller and handles accounts payable, billing, cash management, and general accounting support.

Schedule
Full time, onsite in Cleveland, Ohio.

Compensation
$70,000 to $85,000 per year, based on experience.

What You'll Do

This role is responsible for researching, coding, and entering vendor invoices, responding to vendor payment inquiries, and processing payments to vendors and employees. The Staff Accountant will also investigate and resolve billing issues, track and manage expenses, and enter financial adjustments as needed.

On the receivables and cash side, this person will prepare and issue client invoices, record and monitor cash receipts and deposits, track bank balances, and reconcile corporate credit card accounts. The role also includes preparing and processing 1099 forms and providing general administrative support, including answering phones, while assisting the Controller with various accounting and financial tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Experience in accounting, billing, or accounts receivable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite accounting software
• Experience preparing 1099 forms
• Prior experience supporting a Controller or accounting leadership team
