Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 per year
This Production Supervisor role provides leadership and direction to production associates in a food manufacturing plant, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The company is a food manufacturer that is part of a larger portfolio of brands, with growth underway across the organization. This position reports within the plant’s production department and coordinates closely with safety, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams.
The Production Supervisor facilitates daily startup, routine production, and changeover processes for assigned lines, and schedules personnel including training, call outs, and temporary employees. This role coordinates reprocess activities and maintains related records, collects and verifies downtime worksheets and daily production reports, and manages production checklists. The supervisor verifies production numbers with the warehouse, implements the production plan and schedule for the shift, and manages indirect material inventory to keep production supplied. This position follows up with Quality Control on hold situations, helps implement new procedures to prevent recurring issues, and manages recovery and rework of any non-conforming product delivered to the warehouse. The supervisor implements corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as directed, maintains GMP compliance at all times, participates in assigned projects, and ensures accuracy of employee documentation while supporting the plant’s safety initiatives and objectives.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience

5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience

Demonstrated ability to problem solve, perform root cause analysis, and make timely, informed decisions

Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, and build relationships at all levels within the company

Ability to understand and execute cost containment programs and budgets

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work all shifts as needed

Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing experience in the food industry

Experience coaching or developing team members
