Must-Haves
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of New Mexico
- Hospice experience required; hospice clinical leadership strongly preferred
- Minimum professional nursing experience in direct patient care within hospice or home health
- Strong working knowledge of terminal care, crisis intervention, pain and symptom management, bedside nursing, family support, and interdisciplinary hospice care delivery
- Proficiency with EMR systems, clinical documentation, and chart review
- Demonstrated ability in team leadership, staff coaching, and regulatory/compliance oversight
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and dependable transportation
About the Role
Step into a branch-level clinical leadership position with an established hospice provider in Albuquerque. You will oversee hospice clinical operations, lead the interdisciplinary team, drive quality and compliance outcomes, and ensure exceptional patient and family care delivery across an active hospice program.
What You'll Do
- Direct day-to-day clinical operations for the hospice branch, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate, expert care
- Lead and develop the interdisciplinary team, including nurses, aides, social workers, and chaplains, through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Champion quality and compliance, conducting chart reviews, monitoring documentation, and maintaining readiness for surveys and regulatory standards
- Support patients and families through end-of-life care, modeling clinical excellence in pain management, symptom control, and crisis intervention
- Partner with executive leadership on operational priorities, growth initiatives, and continuous improvement
- Build clinical credibility in the local market through professional presence and strong referral relationships
