A full-service health system serving the Finger Lakes region of New York is seeking a Pain Management Physician to join its clinical team in Geneva, NY. This is a full-time, direct-hire position providing comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions through a combination of interventional procedures, medical management, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The practice is supported by advanced procedural technology and a team-based care model.

Schedule

Full-time. Specific schedule details, including call obligations and clinic days, should be confirmed with the hiring organization.

Compensation

$500,000 to $600,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus performance incentives.

What You'll Do

You will evaluate and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions, developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs and functional goals. You will perform both interventional and non-interventional pain management procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes across the continuum of care.

You will educate patients on treatment options, pain management strategies, and long-term self-management approaches, ensuring patients are active participants in their care. You will maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Pain Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted New York State medical license, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
  • Valid DEA registration
  • ACLS certification, or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Strong clinical communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fellowship training in Pain Medicine from an ACGME-accredited program
  • Experience performing a broad range of interventional pain procedures including spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug delivery, fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided injections, and radiofrequency ablation
  • Prior experience in an outpatient or hospital-based pain management practice
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems used in a multidisciplinary clinical setting
  • Experience collaborating with physical therapy, behavioral health, and other allied health providers in an integrated pain program
