• Must possess current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio or be eligible to obtain it.

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is mandatory.

• Various positions are available in a hospital setting, outpatient setting, and home infusion. The working hours range from 32 to 40 hours per week and include weekend rotation.

• The salary ranges from $17.50 to $24.72 per hour, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

• Collaborate with pharmacists in all aspects of drug preparation and distribution, including unit-of-use packaging, maintaining automated floor stock (PYXIS), completing unit inspections, replenishing drug boxes and crash carts, and utilizing computer applications to support pharmaceutical care.

• For the Pharmacy Technician position specifically:

- Prepare patient-specific drug orders quickly and accurately, ensuring final checks by the pharmacist.
- Conduct interviews with patients and their families to determine their current medication regimen.
- Perform necessary checks on work completed by pharmacy technicians or other support personnel to expedite distribution tasks, allowing professional staff more time for clinical support.
- Replenish drug boxes and crash carts from various patient care areas within the hospital.
- Assist in providing educational in-service programs on distribution and automation systems to educate care providers on the latest technology.
- Aid in inventory management of pharmaceuticals and collaborate with purchasing staff to ensure minimal stock outages and appropriate inventory levels.

• For the Chemo IV Tech position specifically:

- Perform daily surveillance and documentation of USP 797 and USP 800 environmental controls.
- Ensure completion of daily required cleaning of the IV ante and clean rooms.
- Supervise environmental service personnel for monthly IV ante and clean room terminal cleaning.
- Participate in routine surface sampling as mandated by USP 797 and USP 800 regulations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the principles of HEPA filtered unidirectional airflow and how it impacts the compounding area.
- Complete annual competency assessments related to IV and chemotherapy compounding.
