Construction Project Manager

Location: Norfolk, NE (On-site) Compensation: $80,000 – $130,000 per year Job Type: Full-time


Must-Have Requirements

  • Location: Must be local to Nebraska.

  • Experience: 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience (Commercial/Institutional preferred).

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and owner/subcontract agreements.

  • Software Skills: Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, P6, or iAuditor is highly preferred.

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred but not required.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a disciplined, high-ownership Construction Project Manager to lead projects from pre-construction through final closeout. This role is designed for a leader who excels at holding teams accountable, maintaining rigid safety standards, and navigating complex schedules without losing focus on quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-construction & Estimating: Review designs, support estimating efforts, and coordinate permits and insurance to ensure a seamless project launch.

  • Schedule & Cost Control: Build and manage project schedules (including long-lead items and pull plans). Monitor job costs and address financial variances early to ensure profitability.

  • Documentation Management: Oversee the flow of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications with high precision.

  • Field Leadership: Lead regular meetings with owners and subcontractors. Maintain a strong site presence to support safety expectations and quality control.

  • Project Closeout: Coordinate punch lists, final inspections, and turnover documentation to ensure a professional finish and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with architects, owners, and crews.

  • Strong administrative skills regarding billing procedures and insurance compliance.

  • Degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • Sharp prioritization skills and the ability to manage shifting demands in a fast-paced environment.
