Whether you are a seasoned shop foreman looking to run an advanced finishing department or a skilled production painter seeking a stable career upgrade, this custom manufacturing operation offers a premier opportunity. The employer is a highly successful, 40-year industrial equipment OEM operating a pristine facility backed by a massive, recession-proof global project pipeline. Because their proprietary green technologies significantly lower operating costs and emissions for international clients, this financially independent organization offers an unmatched history of stability, featuring zero layoffs in its entire history.

To support an active expansion on the fabrication floor, the company is concurrently hiring for two separate seats: an independent Lead Production Painter to manage daily booth workflow and a Mid-Level Production Painter to support core finishing tasks. These direct-hire roles replace erratic shift schedules and corporate red tape with a reliable, family-friendly first-shift routine where true craftsmanship is highly valued. The shop heavily prioritizes long-term employee retention, providing structured wage reviews, clean uniform provisioning, modern down-draft booth equipment, and an environment defined by mutual respect and technical ownership.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Apply high-uniformity industrial primers and top-coats to large-scale machinery components inside a clean, state-of-the-art spray booth setup.
  • Operate specialized pneumatic surface preparation equipment and sanders to ensure flawless material adhesion and defect-free finishes.
  • Verify component dimensions continuously against technical blueprints using a standard physical tape measure to maintain strict quality standards.
  • Coordinate daily floor tasks and workflow assignments for the preparation and booth crew (Lead role only), collaborating closely with assembly supervisors.
  • Provide hands-on technical mentoring and cross-training (Lead role only) regarding coating thicknesses, gun calibration, and departmental safety protocols.

What We Are Looking For

  • Industrial finishing pedigree with a minimum of 2 years of steady experience calibrating spray guns, adjusting fluid lines, and managing industrial coatings.
  • Floor leadership depth (For Lead Track): 2+ years of verifiable experience working as a Paint Line Lead, Shop Foreman, or Production Supervisor in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong visual inspection skills with a proven history of correcting coating defects and the absolute ability to read tape measures down to precise fractions instantly.
  • Dependable professional longevity, showing a stable employment track record with past employers and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Local proximity and permanent residency established within a comfortable, daily 45-minute drive of the Richfield, WI facility.
