Must-Have Qualifications

  • 8+ years of HR Technology experience with deep, hands-on expertise in Workday HCM
  • 5+ years supporting or implementing Workday HCM in enterprise environments
  • Strong experience with Workday Reporting, Calculated Fields, and complex configurations
  • Proven track record designing and supporting Workday integrations (75+ preferred, including Orchestrate)
  • Experience building advanced reports, dashboards, scorecards, and Workday Hubs
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Prism Analytics (3+ use cases preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and multiple workstreams
  • Strong understanding of HR systems, data structures, and end-to-end data flows
  • Ability to prioritize, execute, and deliver complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Position Overview

The Workday Technology Manager leads a team of HRIS technologists and owns the strategy, delivery, and optimization of Workday solutions across reporting, analytics, integrations, and application development. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibility, ensuring Workday capabilities align with business needs, scale effectively, and follow best practices in data governance, security, and performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of Workday solutions, including Reporting, Prism Analytics, Integrations, and Extend
  • Manage team priorities, workload, and delivery timelines across multiple initiatives
  • Oversee ServiceNow demand intake, prioritization, and execution
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of projects
  • Establish and maintain governance standards for reporting, integrations, and development
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and Finance teams to align on system functionality and integrations
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership
  • Support Workday releases and upgrades, including testing and deployment planning
  • Identify risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for HR technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Integrations, Extend, and Prism certifications
  • Experience with ERP implementations and enterprise system configurations
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Extend application development
  • Knowledge of database tools and data management concepts
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
