Municipal Design Engineer

Must-Haves

Education & Licensure:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• EIT certification preferred (or currently in progress)

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in site civil or municipal design

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for municipal-related projects
• Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills

What You'll Do

Municipal & Site Design

• Lead design tasks across stormwater management, detention basin layout, infrastructure rehabilitation, and permitting
• Develop high-quality engineering drawings and technical documents that meet state and local requirements
• Apply technical expertise to support community growth and sustainable development

Technical Documentation & Permitting

• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, technical memos, and supporting documentation
• Draft and assemble permit applications for state and municipal agencies with accuracy and efficiency

Plan Review & Compliance

• Review subdivision and utility plans submitted by developers to ensure regulatory compliance
• Verify adherence to municipal ordinances, including subdivision and land development, zoning, grading, and stormwater management
• Support construction administration tasks and manage escrow tracking as needed
