Must-Haves

Education & Licensure:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (required)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
  • Master's degree a plus

Experience:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in water/wastewater engineering, including project leadership
  • Experience working with municipal clients and regulatory agencies in Pennsylvania or surrounding regions
  • Proven track record managing projects from concept through construction

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment systems
  • Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance (local, state, and federal)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools
  • Experience with engineering design software and analysis platforms

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
  • Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule oversight
  • Leadership and mentorship capabilities for guiding junior staff
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive integrated project outcomes

You'll partner with a collaborative and well-resourced internal team spanning civil/site, structural, GIS, and traffic departments to deliver innovative engineering solutions that ensure clean water access and support sustainable development.


What You'll Do

As a Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of essential infrastructure projects that directly impact community health and quality of life.

Leadership & Client Management:

  • Lead and manage water and wastewater projects from concept to construction for public and private clients
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trust-based relationships and delivering exceptional service
  • Drive project success through strategic planning, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving

Technical Delivery:

  • Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering designs, plans, reports, and permitting documentation
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines, managing all submittals and approvals
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Civil/Site, Structural, GIS, Survey, and Traffic) to ensure comprehensive and integrated project outcomes

Project & Team Management:

  • Manage budgets, schedules, and project teams to ensure quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to talent development within the department
  • Foster collaboration across disciplines to leverage expertise and deliver innovative solutions
