Production Manager, Corrugated

Ripon, WI | Compensation commensurate with experience | Full-Time

A corrugated packaging manufacturer based in Ripon, Wisconsin seeks an experienced production manager to oversee plant operations across safety, quality, cost, equipment uptime, and process reliability. The position reports to the General Manager and carries direct responsibility for production, quality, customer service, shipping, scheduling, and maintenance departments. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of production management experience in the corrugated paper industry.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site in Ripon, Wisconsin. Schedule commensurate with plant operational requirements.

Compensation: $125,000 - $180,000 Per Year

What You'll Do

You will oversee all aspects of plant performance, with direct accountability for safety compliance, production output, machine uptime, product quality, waste reduction, and overall process reliability. Ensuring that all OSHA safety and health requirements are in place, understood, and consistently followed across the facility is a foundational responsibility. You will manage a team of direct reports across the customer service, production, quality, shipping, scheduling, and maintenance functions, and will be actively involved in developing and maintaining an effective organizational structure within those departments.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will develop and implement short-term and long-term operational plans with the goal of achieving low-cost producer status and maintaining preferred supplier relationships with customers. You will coordinate site-level efforts with the General Manager and with peer facilities to meet quality targets, volume expectations, and delivery requirements. Managing plant assets and aligning capital and operational decisions with the company's strategic plans is an ongoing part of the role.

You will drive employee engagement and team performance through direct, hands-on involvement on the plant floor, and will work to continuously improve processes, reduce complexity, and optimize throughput in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years of production management experience in the corrugated paper industry
  • In-depth knowledge of corrugating and converting equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-department teams in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of federal and state OSHA safety requirements and health and safety compliance practices
  • Strong organizational, communication, and team development skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience coordinating production across multiple plant locations or complex manufacturing networks
  • Background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or waste reduction programs
  • Experience developing and managing plant budgets and capital asset plans
  • Familiarity with corrugated industry quality standards and customer delivery requirements
