A New York City-based apparel and textile company is hiring an EDI Coordinator to manage retail trading partner connectivity, order fulfillment transactions, and outbound shipping logistics. This is a fully in-office role working five days per week from the company's New York City location. The position sits at the intersection of EDI operations and warehouse coordination, requiring hands-on experience with retail purchase order management and shipment execution.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, in-office five days per week in New York, NY.

Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 Per Year

What You'll Do

You will onboard and set up new retail trading partners, managing end-to-end connectivity testing to ensure accurate data exchange from initial setup through go-live. You will handle day-to-day EDI operations including the management of inbound EDI 850 Purchase Orders, transmission of outbound EDI 856 Advance Ship Notices, and outbound EDI 810 invoices to retail partners.

You will manage outbound routing logistics, securing shipment routing with retail partners and carriers in accordance with each retailer's routing guides and compliance requirements. You will prepare Bills of Lading and coordinate closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. You will monitor transaction sets for errors or exceptions and work to resolve discrepancies with trading partners and internal teams as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of EDI coordination or EDI operations experience, specifically within the apparel or textile industry
  • Hands-on experience managing EDI 850, 856, and 810 transaction sets with major retail trading partners
  • Experience onboarding new retail trading partners including connectivity setup and end-to-end testing
  • Familiarity with retail routing guide compliance and shipment routing processes
  • Experience preparing Bills of Lading and coordinating with warehouse or fulfillment operations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple open orders simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EDI platforms or VANs commonly used in apparel and retail supply chains (such as SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, DiCentral, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with ERP or order management systems used in apparel wholesale or direct-to-retail environments
  • Experience working with major retail partners such as department stores, specialty chains, or mass market accounts
  • Knowledge of chargebacks and retail compliance requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
