Associate Product Manager

Associate Product Manager
New York, NY | Hybrid (4 days in office, remote Fridays)

This is an opportunity to join an apparel brand's product development team in a hands-on role managing the full product life cycle from raw material sourcing through bulk production handoff. You will work closely with design, technical design, and sourcing teams to bring seasonal collections to market accurately and on time. The position is based in New York and follows a hybrid schedule, with four days in office and Fridays remote.

Schedule
Monday through Thursday in office; Friday remote. Standard business hours.

Compensation
$75,000 - $80,000 Per Year

What You'll Do

You will manage the day-to-day product life cycle for your assigned categories, taking ownership from fabric and trim sourcing through the final handoff to bulk production. Working alongside designers, you will interpret and execute seasonal product and program intent with a goal of accurate, right-first-time execution at each stage of development.

Raw material procurement is a core part of the role. You will source fabrics, trims, and wash components with the supply base, ensuring all necessary inputs are in place before style execution begins. You will coordinate with technical designers to obtain timely specifications for final sample execution and align with the sourcing team on regional factory allocation strategy.

Keeping cross-functional partners informed is a significant part of the day-to-day. You will create and maintain seasonal sample status charts and work-in-progress reports, providing real-time visibility to sales and design on product status. Daily communication with overseas factories and development partners is required to keep samples on schedule and on brief.

You will manage the submission and approval process for color, lab dips, and strike-offs, communicating design comments to suppliers and tracking submissions through to approval. Final samples are tracked into internal review sessions, with corrections coordinated through the sample room or directly with factories as needed to meet design intent and key deadlines. Approved final samples are then shipped to accounts for final consideration.
