This outpatient imaging department is looking for a full-time MRI Technologist to join its team. The role involves performing MRI procedures for a diagnostic imaging patient population, working closely with radiologists, providers, and nursing staff to support safe, efficient patient flow and high quality imaging results. Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation
$38.60 to $53.00 per hour ($80,288 to $110,240 annually), based on experience and qualifications
What You'll Do
This technologist will perform MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols, preparing and positioning patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout each exam. The role includes reviewing imaging requests for accuracy, producing diagnostic quality images, and monitoring patients during procedures to respond appropriately to their needs. The technologist will follow all MRI safety protocols, including patient screening and equipment safety procedures, and will maintain a safe environment within the MRI suite while adhering to internal policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards. This role also requires working knowledge of PACS, RIS, and EMR systems, routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment, and coordination of service or maintenance as needed, along with maintaining cleanliness and organization of imaging work areas.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related imaging program
- Current ARRT certification
- MRI certification, or eligibility to obtain based on role requirements
- New York State licensure as required for the role
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 to 2+ years of MRI experience
- Experience in an outpatient imaging setting
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and patient screening protocols
- Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills
Compensation and Benefits
- $38.60 to $53.00 per hour ($80,288 to $110,240 annually), based on experience and qualifications
