Job Responsibilities:



As a Pharmacy Professional, you will be responsible for working closely with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure efficient inventory management, precise prescription filling, patient counseling, administering immunizations, and providing exceptional customer service. Your duties will include managing pharmacy associates, controlling expenses, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to analyze weekly sales and monitor inventory levels.
- Order pharmaceutical stock as necessary to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix drugs, and fill prescriptions.
- Offer advice and guidance to self-medicating patients.
- Dispense non-prescription medications.
- Maintain effective communication with healthcare and insurance professionals.
- Administer patient immunizations on a regular basis.
- Schedule and assign tasks to pharmacy associates efficiently.
- Recognize and reward outstanding performance.
- Enforce disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Assign work to optimize skills and abilities while meeting profit goals.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in training and developing department personnel.
- Foster continuous improvement, reduce turnover, and control labor costs.
- Monitor and enhance department operations to control expenses.
- Ensure labor goals are met.
- Reduce losses due to shrink.
- Efficiently address customer complaints and inquiries.
- Provide effective counseling on prescription-related matters.
- Identify areas for improving customer service and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to implement necessary changes.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in maintaining a safe and clean department.
- Implement an effective housekeeping program in compliance with company, health department, and OSHA standards.
- Maintain accurate department records and files, including associate performance, discipline, and sales plans.
- Submit required pharmacy reports documenting department activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and superiors to ensure smooth operations of the department and the store.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve job performance.
- Assist and perform duties of pharmacy staff as needed.

Job Requirements:



- Extensive knowledge of pharmacy department operations.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree required.
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
- Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Valid Pennsylvania Immunization License.
