Controls Technician, Automotive PLC Automation
Veedersburg, IN (Onsite, 2nd shift)
Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems at a plant run by a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier. The role offers strong overtime, a lower cost of living, and a real path to promotion (the last person in this seat was promoted). Military veterans transitioning to civilian roles are encouraged to apply.
Must-Haves
- 3+ years of PLC programming and industrial automation
- Knowledge of electrical controls, instrumentation, and industrial networks
- Able to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- 2-year degree or technical certificate in automation, robotics, or electrical (or military equivalent)
- Available for 2nd shift, 2 PM to 11 PM or 3 PM to midnight
What You'll Do
- Design, program, troubleshoot, and modify industrial control systems
- Develop and support PLC and HMI applications
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation issues
- Support equipment installs, startups, commissioning, and upgrades
- Work with engineering, maintenance, and production to improve safety, reliability, and output
- Document system changes and fixes

- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Military electronics or automation background
