Plant Manager

$150,000 to $160,000 per year, plus bonus

A manufacturer of reinforcement mesh and bars is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of its production facility. This role manages daily operations, ensures optimal production efficiency, maintains product quality, and fosters a safe and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing management and a solid understanding of steel or construction-related production processes.

Schedule: Full-time.

Compensation: $150,000 to $160,000 per year, based on experience, plus a 10% quarterly bonus.

What You'll Do:

The Plant Manager oversees production of reinforcement mesh and bars, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules, optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs, and monitoring and analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement. This includes leading, training, and motivating the plant team, including supervisors and production staff, establishing clear goals and performance expectations, and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

The role ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions as needed. The Plant Manager implements and monitors quality assurance processes to maintain high product standards, addressing customer complaints or quality issues promptly, and oversees maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment to minimize downtime, collaborating with maintenance teams to ensure reliability and efficiency of production assets.

Additional responsibilities include developing and managing the plant's operational budget, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety. The Plant Manager also contributes to long-term strategic planning for growth and competitiveness, evaluating and implementing new technologies or processes to enhance production capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality management systems, and safety regulations
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency with production management software and standard office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in wire mesh manufacturing, steel, construction materials, or a related industry
