Maintenance Mechanic, Manufacturing Equipment

Location: Barkhamsted, CT
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000 to $80,000 per year

Keep production machinery and facilities running safely and smoothly as a key member of a manufacturing maintenance team.

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of maintenance mechanic experience or equivalent skills
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on production machinery
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
• Forklift operation skills
• Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and specifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery
• Troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain manufacturing equipment
• Maintain heating, cooling, and air conditioning systems
• Complete facility and building repairs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
• Repair and adjust locks on doors and cabinets
• Help move equipment and set up or break down rooms
• Communicate equipment status and maintenance needs across shifts
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with ERP systems, especially Epicor 10
• Spanish language skills
