CNC Programmer, Sheet Metal Fabrication

Farmington, CT (Onsite)

Program lasers, punches, and press brakes, and own the path from quote to shipment at an aerospace sheet metal fabrication shop. This role blends CNC programming, process planning, and cost estimating, backed by a strong benefits package.

Must-Haves

• CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication (laser, punch, press brake)
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming languages
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes, tooling, and materials
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specs
• Ability to juggle production and quoting deadlines

What You'll Do

• Write, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser, punch, and press brake equipment
• Select tooling, materials, and methods to cut waste; design fixtures and set routings
• Build cost estimates from material, labor, machine time, and outside services, and support sales with quotes
• Prepare quality documentation, including First Article Inspections and Certificates of Conformance
• Document nonconformances and support corrective actions and internal audits
• Coordinate packaging, shipping paperwork, and carrier pickups

Nice-to-Haves

• Cost estimating or quoting experience
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and FAI documentation
