IT Project Manager, Medicaid Eligibility Systems

Keep complex Medicaid eligibility projects on track from plan to go-live. You will align state leaders, vendors, and delivery teams through fast-moving policy changes, including new federal requirements with hard deadlines, at a boutique public-sector consulting firm. Pay is $120K to $140K.

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of project management on large, multi-stakeholder technology or policy implementations
• 3+ years on Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, or public assistance programs
• Experience with state agencies, vendors, and federal requirements
• Strong planning, RAID management, and reporting in MS Project, Smartsheet, or Jira
• Agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

What You'll Do

• Plan and manage Medicaid eligibility system changes and policy implementations
• Build integrated plans, schedules, and milestones across agency, vendor, and delivery teams
• Run a disciplined RAID log and escalate early
• Lead implementation of H.R. 1 requirements within mandated deadlines
• Coordinate with eligibility vendors, MCOs, SNAP, and MMIS
• Facilitate status meetings and steering committees
• Manage scope, change requests, and budget, including federal funding documentation
• Support testing, training, and go-live readiness

Nice-to-Haves

• PMP certification
• CMS oversight, APDs, or state system certification
• SNAP or integrated eligibility familiarity
• Mississippi Medicaid experience
