Software Implementation Specialist


The Software Implementation Specialist plays a crucial role in designing innovative solutions for complex software implementation projects and providing expert consultancy to both internal and external stakeholders before project commencement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluates customer requirements and identifies the most appropriate software implementation solution, producing accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Ensures timely completion of bids and proposals.
  • Verifies software performance through the planning and execution of operational tests and research.
  • Interprets and analyzes blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Creates preliminary Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and layout drawings.
  • Provides engineering support by promptly addressing inquiries and requests from internal and external sources.
  • Collaborates with external resources to assist in the implementation of operating procedures, troubleshoot system issues, and access technical support and information.

Miscellaneous Duties and Responsibilities

  • Occasional travel to customer sites or trade shows, approximately 5% of the time.
  • Completion of other assigned tasks, duties, or projects as directed by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience and training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in designing piping systems.
  • Ability to perform calculations required for drawing creation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand and implement written, oral, and diagram instructions.
  • Strong reading, analytical, and interpretive skills for business periodicals, technical procedures, and other relevant documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing, business correspondence, and presentations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Design software, Internet software, Excel Spreadsheet software, Word, and Adobe Word Processing software.
