    • Under the supervision of a physician, this role involves the application of principles, methods, and procedures for managing athletic injuries. Responsibilities include providing care, conditioning, and reconditioning to individuals who have suffered athletic injuries, as well as educating coaches, athletes, parents, and medical personnel on injury prevention and care. The Athletic Trainer will work in school systems, physician practices, and hospital clinics to support patient care. Additionally, coverage of sporting events will be required as per the Health System contract and schedule agreed upon by the hiring organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine or related field
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Athletic Training
  • NYS Registration and License as a Certified Athletic Trainer
  • NATABOC Certification
  • BLS Certification required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
  • Minimum:
    • Must be at least 21 years old (per NYS Regulations)
  • Preferred:
    • 1-2 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer in a high school and/or physician practice setting.
  • Minimum:
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism when dealing with the public
    • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and foster teamwork
    • Flexibility in terms of work locations, schedules, and responsibilities, and ability to work independently
    • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
    • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
