Position Summary
We are looking for a driven and experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead and grow our Fort Wayne operations focused on exterior home improvement products and services. This leadership role will oversee installation teams, daily branch operations, customer satisfaction, and business development activities related to patios, porches, decks, windows, siding, screened enclosures, sunrooms, and other outdoor living solutions.
Reporting directly to ownership, this individual will play a critical role in building a strong team culture, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and supporting the continued growth of the branch.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in residential construction, exterior remodeling, or specialty building products who can successfully balance operational management, employee development, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and support installation crews, project leads, and field personnel.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and teamwork.
- Train and mentor employees to improve technical skills, productivity, and customer service.
- Conduct performance coaching and address personnel concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Operations & Project Management
- Manage daily branch operations including scheduling, labor planning, and project coordination.
- Oversee installation projects from start to finish to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are achieved.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and subcontractor activities as needed.
- Review employee hours, approve time records, and assist with payroll accuracy.
- Monitor inventory, equipment, and materials to support ongoing and upcoming projects.
Customer Service & Client Relations
- Serve as a key point of contact for homeowners and customers throughout the project process.
- Ensure exceptional customer experiences through proactive communication and responsiveness.
- Resolve customer concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, builders, and property managers.
Quality Control & Safety
- Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Promote and enforce job-site safety practices and compliance procedures.
- Perform site inspections and field reviews to maintain workmanship standards across all projects.
Sales & Business Growth
- Support branch growth through relationship building and customer engagement.
- Participate in consultations, estimates, and solution-based sales opportunities when needed.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen the company’s presence in the market.
- Represent the company professionally within the local community and industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous management experience in exterior remodeling, residential construction, decking, windows, siding, patio enclosures, roofing, or related industries.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and installation practices.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
