Civil Site Design Engineer

Warrington, PA | Full-Time

A civil engineering consultancy based in Warrington, Pennsylvania seeks an entry-level civil site design engineer to join its land development practice. The firm works across a range of project types including residential communities, commercial developments, educational campuses, and mixed-use sites throughout Pennsylvania. This position supports senior engineers and project managers through the full design cycle, from concept through permitting and regulatory approval.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, based out of the Warrington, Pennsylvania office.

What You'll Do

You will assist with the civil and site design of land development projects, contributing to grading plans, stormwater management systems, erosion and sediment control layouts, and utility design. You will prepare engineering plans, calculations, and supporting technical documents under the direction of senior engineers and project managers. Research into state and local design standards is a routine part of the role, ensuring that project designs meet applicable regulatory requirements from the outset.

You will support the development of technical studies and site evaluations, and will contribute to zoning, permitting, and municipal approval processes. Regular coordination with contractors, municipal staff, and client engineering teams is expected. You will provide general project support across multiple active development projects simultaneously, developing your technical skills and familiarity with the full land development workflow over time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Working knowledge of land development and site design principles, including grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and utility layout
  • Familiarity with regulatory permitting and zoning approval processes
  • Strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and contribute effectively within a project team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pennsylvania Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or eligibility to sit for the FE exam
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience through internships, co-ops, or full-time employment
  • Familiarity with Pennsylvania DEP or municipal stormwater and land development regulations
  • Exposure to technical studies such as traffic impact studies, environmental assessments, or geotechnical reports in a project support capacity
