Responsibilities:

• Visit customer locations to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controls
• Identify opportunities for enhancing equipment performance and conduct preventative maintenance on customer machine tools
• Identify and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components
• Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
• Effectively communicate machine issues, installation progress, or machine repair status to customers; complete and submit proper documentation to the office and customer
• Take ownership of customer-related problems and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction
• Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay updated on industry developments
• Maintain a comprehensive technical knowledge of the company's product lines
• Stay informed about vendor products and new technologies, and implement them when suitable
• Provide machine maintenance training as part of after-sales technical support
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

• An associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required
• At least 5 years of experience as a CNC Field Service Technician or Engineer is highly desirable; equivalent experience may be considered
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with CNC controls; proficiency in Fanuc is extremely beneficial
• Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a technical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs and other related business software
• Ability to work unscheduled overtime without advanced notice
• Valid driver's license and auto/vehicle insurance are required
• Ability to travel regionally up to 50% of the workweek, with some overnight travel necessary
• Must possess basic hand tools for electrical and mechanical repair
