Summary:
As an Automation Engineer, you will have the responsibility of devising, developing, and implementing control systems for our range of products. Your expertise in PLC programming will be crucial as you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless product development from start to finish. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional seeking to make a significant impact in a rapidly expanding company.

Key Duties:

  • Create customized control systems and PLC programs to meet specific application requirements.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to establish control system specifications and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize existing control systems to enhance performance.
  • Generate and maintain documentation related to control system design and programming.
  • Test, debug, and validate control systems to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Offer technical support and training to internal and external stakeholders regarding control systems.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in controls engineering and automation.
  • Act as a mentor and guide for junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and collaboration within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Have at least 3 years of practical experience in controls engineering, with a focus on PLC programming and product development.
  • Demonstrate expertise in programming languages (such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram) and familiarity with various PLC platforms (for example, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, etc.).
  • Possess a strong understanding of control theory, automation standards, and industrial communication protocols (including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and CAN).
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and software development tools.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (such as ISO, IEC, and NFPA).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful interaction with cross-functional teams and clients.
