Design Engineer, Wastewater Conveyor Equipment

Location: Boonton, NJ (100% on-site, Morris County)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000 to $90,000 per year

Design water and wastewater equipment that actually gets built, working closely with the fabricators who bring your SolidWorks models to life.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• 3 to 4 years of mechanical design experience (standout candidates with 2 years considered)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to figure out how something gets built
• Accurate, detail-oriented drawing work
• Comfort reviewing designs with fabricators and taking their input
• Must live within commuting distance of Morris County (no relocation)

What You’ll Do

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings
• Carry conveyor designs from requirements to released drawings
• Figure out how to build new equipment the company has never made before
• Visit the nearby fabrication shop to review plans and solve build questions
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with the right level of detail
• Support project engineers with the design work each order needs
• Get the details right so equipment is built once and fits the first time

Nice-to-Haves

• Conveyor or fabricated equipment design experience
• Water or wastewater industry background
• Interest in growing toward project engineering

Compensation and Benefits

• $75,000 to $90,000 per year
