JOB TITLE: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

We are collaborating with a Global Automotive Manufacturer near Dayton, OH to find a talented Product Development Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead and oversee the implementation of new product development projects, including Design, Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), Prototyping, and Testing.

· Create 3D mathematical data and 2D drawings for component parts.

· Facilitate communication between customers and designers.

· Assist in identifying and meeting customer requirements, evaluating product performance, ensuring manufacturability, and managing costs.

· Establish and achieve project objectives, organize project kick-off, track milestones, ensure on-time completion, and conduct post-project effectiveness analyses.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· 3-5 years of experience as a Design Engineer.

· Proficiency in creating 2D and 3D drawings.

· Familiarity with CATIA software.

· Knowledge of the automotive industry.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

DESIRED SKILLS:

· Experience with chassis design.

· Knowledge of sheet metal stamping, welding, or aluminum processing.

· Understanding of material stress/strain, stiffness, and strength.
