Compensation: $140,000–$150,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (flexible)
Work Model: Split between two clinic locations


Must-Haves (Required to Be Considered)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, risk management, or quality assurance
  • Direct experience within an FQHC or similar community-based healthcare organization
  • Strong working knowledge of HRSA, NYSDOH, and CMS regulations
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing compliance
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) and reporting tools (e.g., COGNOS)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Overview

We are seeking a strategic and operationally focused Director of Risk Management & Quality Assurance (RM/QA) to lead clinical quality, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives across a multi-site healthcare organization. This role is critical in ensuring excellence in patient care, regulatory adherence, and continuous quality improvement (CQI), while driving operational efficiency and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Operations & Performance Leadership

  • Oversee daily clinical operations, staffing, and patient care workflows across locations
  • Lead and execute performance improvement initiatives aligned with the Triple Aim: better care, improved outcomes, and reduced costs
  • Partner with the Chief Medical Officer to implement team-based care models and PCMH initiatives

Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance

  • Serve as the primary liaison for HRSA, NYSDOH, and CMS audits and inspections
  • Lead corrective action planning (CAP) and ensure full compliance with BPHC program requirements
  • Oversee incident reporting processes, including timely and accurate state reporting

Data Analytics & Quality Assurance

  • Utilize EMR and reporting platforms to conduct audits and produce actionable insights
  • Chair RM/QA Committee and present quality metrics to executive leadership and Board of Directors
  • Manage quality reporting and performance metrics tied to IPA and ACO partnerships

Safety & Environment of Care

  • Standardize policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety across clinical and operational teams
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, equipment management, and facility compliance
  • Ensure patient rights are upheld and grievances are resolved effectively

HR & Organizational Collaboration

  • Partner with HR on staff development, regulatory training, and workforce planning
  • Ensure compliance with credentialing, licensing, and personnel record requirements
  • Support Code Rule 59 and 60 processes and reporting
