Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Milwaukee, WI

They are currently seeking an Electronics Systems Engineer to join their team and assist in optimizing current products and developing new ones. Reporting to the Manager of Product Engineering, this position will involve designing and implementing electrical systems.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance electrical systems for new and existing heavy vehicles
  • Create models and drawings for projects using CAD
  • Collect and analyze data on electrical systems
  • Assess and select materials and components for electrical systems
  • Provide support in creating machine documentation
  • Conduct cost analysis of components and machines
  • Plan the development cycle for multiple projects
  • Define testing requirements for functions and produce documentation

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of design experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit design, components, systems, and controls
  • Familiarity with data acquisition and communication protocols (such as CAN bus, UDS, SAE J1939, ...)
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD, particularly Siemens NX
  • Experience with Zuken E3 is highly desirable
  • Any experience in heavy equipment, off-road vehicle, or truck electrical design is a plus
  • Knowledge of C programming is a plus
  • Strong practical, "hands-on" electrical experience
