Electrical Engineer

Location: Lexington, KY

Responsible for providing corporate engineering leadership, including support for electrical systems, equipment installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This role will involve hands-on work with PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, as well as providing assistance to the maintenance team on site.


· Minimum of a 2-4 year Electrical Engineering Technology degree

· At least 5 years of experience managing commercial and industrial construction projects


  • Proven experience in installing and controlling electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Expertise in estimating job costs for electrical installations, including new construction, renovations, and machinery relocation
    • Experience working with contractors and utility companies domestically and internationally
    • Knowledge of electrical safety regulations, such as NFPA70 and NFPA70E
    • Proficiency in PLCs, Operator Interfaces, Variable Frequency Drives, and Allen Bradley programming
    • Experience in panel building, industrial electrical maintenance, AUTOCAD Electrical, and automation or robotics
    • Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems related to automation


· Analytical and problem-solving skills

· Knowledge of preventive electrical maintenance techniques

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Conduct safety observations, evaluations, and audits to support a high level of safety
  • Assist in developing preventative maintenance routines for electrical equipment
  • Oversee engineering work related to plant electrical projects
  • Manage projects as directed by management
