Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer [ Maintenance ]

$100,000.- $125,000.00 + 12% 401K + Quarterly Bonuses

JOB SUMMARY

This role is based at our corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA and involves leading corporate engineering projects including the development and deployment of Ignition (SCADA) systems, providing electrical support to our plants, overseeing equipment installations, and troubleshooting equipment issues. In this role, you may also assist the maintenance team on site.

EDUCATION:

  • Completion of a 2-4 year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial Electrical Technician/Engineering position
  • Required certification or experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation
  • Required programming experience or training with Allen-Bradley systems

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in developing Ignition systems, including screen layout, design, and scripting
  • Proficiency in Level 2 programming languages such as SQL, ODATA, and Python
  • Familiarity with PLC's, Operator Interfaces, and Variable Frequency Drives
  • Preference for Allen-Bradley/Rockwell programming experience
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD Electrical for control system design
  • Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as they relate to automation
  • Experience in automation or robotics is a plus

  • Willingness to travel to plant locations for project startups and support

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to discussing, improving, and adhering to safety standards
  • Maintain a high level of safety support through safety observations, evaluations, and audits
  • Oversee the installation of Ignition systems at each plant site
  • Participate in the development of equipment preventative maintenance routines (PMs)
  • Manage the engineering work scope for plant electrical projects
  • Execute projects as directed by management
