Location: Bettendorf, IA
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team in the beautiful Mississippi River Valley near Bettendorf, IA. As our client continues to grow, we are seeking an individual who will play a key role in all aspects of onsite electrical work including power distribution, PLC programming, data collection, and data trends. Whether you have experience with the newest PLC technologies or legacy versions, you will be part of a talented and supportive team.
In order to thrive in this position, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility. Exposure to Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs is a must, and if you do not possess a degree, on-the-job experience will be considered. Strong project management skills are essential, as you will be responsible for leading and mentoring less experienced colleagues while collaborating with cross-functional project teams. Additionally, you will assist in developing preventive maintenance procedures for the plant's electrical and controls system.
We are looking for someone who is familiar with or has experience working with PLCs such as Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC, and PLC5, as well as drives from Allen Bradley and Parker/SSD. Knowledge of HMI systems like FactoryTalk View and plant floor control networks including Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and DH+ would be highly beneficial. Experience in power distribution and general-purpose industrial controls is also a plus.
