Electrical Foreman

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to supervise industrial electrical projects in Columbus, OH. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient work completion, and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively plan, organize, and oversee the work of job crew members.
• Recruit, train, and motivate crew members, enforcing company policies when necessary.
• Thoroughly review and comprehend job plans, specifications, and contract scope.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide accurate progress updates.
• Monitor job progress, create RFIs, and generate other necessary documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with National Electrical Codes and safety standards.
• Manage tool control, order materials, and maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Approve and track employee work time and evaluate performance.

Requirements for Success:

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician is essential.
• At least 2 years of experience as an Industrial Foreman is preferred.
• NCCER certification or Electrician State License is considered a plus.
• Successful completion of DISA drug/alcohol test is mandatory.
• Thorough understanding of NEC, OSHA, and L.O.T.O policies.
• Expertise in the installation and troubleshooting of PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficient in conduit bending and installation, wiring, and electrical equipment setup.
• Familiarity with single and three-phase motors as well as motor control systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
