On-site Technical Support Specialist

Location: Irvine, CA

Our company is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to service and maintain medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc) for our line of medical laboratory analyzers. We prefer candidates with current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry. The role entails servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation. Good electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience is essential. The position is only available for applicants currently residing in the GREATER ORANGE COUNTY CA area as no relocation assistance is provided.


  • Base salary $65K - $75K depending on experience (overtime & performance bonus will add an additional $6K - $10K annually, possibly more.)

  • Perform installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of the instrumentation
  • Build and maintain strong customer relations
  • Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group
  • Maintain car inventory, including tools and trunk stock (parts)
  • Provide basic on-site training on company instrumentation operation


  • Preferred: 2 Year Technical Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or related discipline
  • Good experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a field service engineer
  • Experience in servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
