As a Senior Civil Cost Estimator, you will play a crucial role in reviewing construction plans and municipal specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, and obtaining vendor quotations for both private and public sector projects.

• Conduct thorough reviews of preliminary and final civil construction plans for bid proposals.
• Examine relevant municipal specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, grading, paving, utilities, and site concrete.
• Obtain and carefully review vendor quotations.
• Assist with various office tasks related to construction estimating as needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Preparing and ordering bid documents.

· Familiarizing yourself with the project site and scope of work.

· Conducting work quantity take-offs and accurate field measurements.

· Calculating project cost analysis based on plans, specifications, and field measurements.

· Obtaining and analyzing subcontractor quotes.

· Complete preparation of project bids.

· Acting as a liaison between the office and the field.

· Attending pre-construction meetings with owners and general contractors.

· Preparing and maintaining correspondence and documentation.

· Assisting with the collection of receivables.

· Understanding and analyzing detailed bid specifications, schematics, and drawings.

· Preparing accurate estimates and packages for projects.

· Assisting with scheduling, job layout, and change order preparation.

· Tracking the progress of multiple bids and bid results.

· Overseeing and managing change orders during project progression.

· Overseeing and managing project closeouts upon completion.

· Delivering accurate and timely estimates and bid proposals to clients.

· Maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

· Communicating effectively with other departments and team members.

· Conducting local travel to review bids and inspect job sites.

Requirements:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented team player with exceptional communication skills.
• You should be familiar with MS Office, AGTEK Sitework, and AutoCAD.
• The ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and documents is essential.
• You must be able to adhere to guidelines and complete project tasks within established time frames.
• We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can take direction and work independently.
• A valid driver's license is required.
